Miriam Mora.
Barcelona, 13/11/1980.
I started modeling clay figurines as a self-taught sculptor in late 2007. After several years combining my hobby with different jobs as an engineer and also learning other craft techniques, I found out that I was talented in fine arts. So I decided to take sculpting classes for 4 years to improve my skills. My inspiration comes from different ways, sometimes I sculpt mythological characters due to my passion for mermaids and fairies since I was a child, but also I like modeling realistic human figures in contemplative states. Other inspiring themes for me are Nature, motherhood, spiritual teachings and ancient cultures. I also carve reliefs into sea stones collected on the beach near my village to portray their Nature spirit within.
